FAQ

What does “going” mean?

It’s the number of people who said they plan to be there, including the friends they’re bringing. It isn’t a ticket or a reservation.

Do I need an account?

No, to browse. Yes, to say you’re going, comment or follow — so the counts stay real.

Why can I only bring one guest?

New accounts can add one guest for their first week. After that you can mark up to 6 people.

Who can see that I’m going?

Everyone sees the total. Your name shows on the going-list to people who can see your profile. Make your profile private, or turn on “Hide my skates” in Settings to be counted without being named. Skaters under 18 always have private profiles.

A time is wrong. What do I do?

On a community-reported session, tap “No, it’s wrong”. Three more “wrong” than “yes” votes take it off the list. You can also report any session.

I run a rink. How do I post our times?

See For rinks.

Is there an app?

PublicSkates is a website built for phones. On iPhone or Android, use “Add to Home Screen” to keep it one tap away.
