Community guidelines

PublicSkates is used by families and lots of young skaters. Keep it friendly.

• Be kind. No harassment, slurs, threats or bullying. Posts with slurs are blocked.
• Keep it about skating. Ice conditions, crowds, parking, who’s bringing the hot chocolate.
• Only post real times. Say where a time came from. Don’t add sessions you made up.
• Only say you’re going if you plan to go. Fake counts are detected and don’t count.
• Protect kids. Don’t post anyone’s personal details, and never try to contact a young skater you don’t know. Report anything worrying with “Child safety”.
• No spam or ads in comments.

Three reports from different people hide a comment automatically, and rink staff can hide comments on their sessions. Repeated problems lead to limited or suspended accounts.
